Andy Absalon Boado

Andy Absalon Boado, age 61 went home with our Lord and Savior on July 23rd. Andy is survived by his wife of 24 years- Lalaine "Lani", Sisters Monica and Juanita, Brothers Pete, Antonio and Jessie. He is the youngest of 10 children of Pedro and Juana.

Andy was hardworking and started work in Jack in the Box then as an Audio Salesman in Best Buy. He was into stereos, electronics and computers. He worked as Production Control Specialist/ Information Technology Specialist for 34 years with Affiliated Computer Services, Xerox and ATOS. He likes fishing, listening to music, watch cooking shows and cooking.

Andy succumbed to Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare, degenerative neurological disorder. It affects several areas of the brain, including the Cerebellum- brain's balance and coordination center, and the Autonomic Nervous System which controls the body's automatic regulating functions such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, digestion, circulation, and temperature. MSA to this day is not well known and has no cure. It is a type of Parkinsonism that has more effects on the brain and body. His symptoms started in Sept 2018, diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in Jan 2019, he worked from home until Oct 2019. He was then diagnosed with MSA on Apr 2021. He had a good spirit and express his gratefulness of the Lord every day. It was a challenging journey but we had great and excellent care from Baylor University Medical Center, American Home Patient, Accent Care Home Health and Vitas Home Hospice staff and had a supportive family and friends so we are truly grateful.

Andy was super sweet and loving on his own ways. He has touched the lives of many by being kind and generous. He has a very BIG Heart and a nice smile. He was truly an Amazing Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Son in Law, Brother-in-Law, Lolo and Friend. He will greatly be missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
