With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Andy Sherman Burt on December 24, 2025. Born on April 14, 1976 in Greenville, NC, he was a devoted husband to Jeanna and a loving father to Kathryn-Anne, Emmalyne-Grace, and Jonathan Parker.
Though Andy may not have liked being the center of attention, we want to honor his memory and the legacy he leaves behind. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Andy was a deeply beloved husband, father, son, uncle, brother, and friend. But more than any of these, his greatest identity was found in Jesus, his Savior and his Lord. He sought to serve those around him and to point them to Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanna; his three children; his parents, Bill and Betsy Burt; his brother, Dan (Anna) Burt; as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. The family will be receiving guests beginning at 10 a.m.
We find comfort in knowing that Andy is eternally rejoicing with Jesus in heaven. His legacy lives on through the love he shared and the memories we will cherish forever.
