Andy Romero

Andy Romero, 33, of Lafayette passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN.
Andy was born September 21, 1990 in Chicago, IL, to Indalecio Medrano and Maria Mirella Munoz. He worked for Subaru for the past 5 years and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Andy enjoyed playing soccer during his free time, dancing and also singing to his favorite songs. Andy was very loving to his mother and would often sing songs to her as well. He was very loving to his 2 sons and did what he could to instill them to love God and made sure they were introduced to Catholicism by being baptized and completing their holy eucharist at a young age.
Andy valued his mother and reminded her daily of how much she meant to him. He trusted her wisdom in life and tried his best to listen to her advice. He was a very humanitarian person who would always be willing to lend a hand. He showed his love to others by offering hugs and reminded his entire family of how much he truly loved them. Andy was a very hard worker wherever he went. His happiness projected loudly upon entry to any room. He was vibrant and cheerful and had the energy of a child.
When his siblings were little, he was like a father to them. He learned to be responsible at a very young age. He often times preferred to have empty pockets rather than let his mom or his brother's down. He was oftentimes like the head of the household as his mom had to survive as a single mother throughout a big part of his life.
He was very proud to be a part of 2 families he held very close to his heart, Romero and Munoz. Both families meant a lot to him and he did what he could to be close to them. He would hug everyone and offer his sincere love for each and every one of them. He enjoyed visiting his grandparents and enjoyed reunions with his extended family where he would often sing to them as well. Singing is what truly made him feel entirely happy.
Surviving are his two sons: Jose Romero and Andy Romero; mother: Maria Mirella Munoz; father: Indalecio Medrano; and brothers: Jose Romero, Javier Romero, Antonio Romero and Benito Romero.
He is preceded in passing by his step father Jose Luis Romero.
Visitation will be held from 5pm – 8pm Monday, February 12, 2024 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 10am Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
