Andy Will Watkins

The funeral service will be scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, at 11 AM. Reverend John Batusic will officiate. Internment will be in Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville location, on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
Mr. Watkins was born July 31, 1939 in Gainesville, GA, and was the son of the late W. T. Watkins and Nellie Reed Watkins. He was a long-time member and elder of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. He graduated South Hall High School in 1959, received his Associates Degree from Truett McConnell College, and worked in the poultry industry for around 50 years, including at Crystal Farms and Wayne Farms.
He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Linda McGarity Watkins of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kristi Watkins, also of Flowery Branch; grandsons, Carlin Watkins and Ryan Watkins; sister, Shirley Palmer of Gainesville; sister-in-law Carolyn Watkins, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Watkins is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Watkins; brother, Lendy Watkins; as well as his sisters, Betty Carter and Daisy Watkins.
Mr. Watkins was a devoted husband to Linda. He was a loving father to his children, a wonderful grandfather, and a loyal friend to many.
