Anfernee (Tony) Daivion Colquitt, age 30, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Anfernee was born October 2, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois to Yolanda Holmes Sharpensteen and Charles Colquitt III. Anfernee will be remembered for his eyes that lit up the room, followed by a beautiful smile. He had so much love to give with so little time. Let's remember he could not bear to see a sad soul even when he was dealing with his own sadness. We should all remember his leadership mentality, courage and wisdom.
Anfernee was blessed with a loving family that truly loved him, and he showed that love in return.
Anfernee leaves to mourn, his beloved mother, Yolanda Holmes Sharpensteen. Five beautiful children: Julien, age 11, Brylinn Grace, age 10, Aurorah, age 6, Atticus, age 6, and Theseus (Theo) age 4.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Alauren Desiree York and Grandfather Jimmy Lee Holmes.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved grandmother, Irene Holms, four siblings: Tyree Hughes, Landon, Brent and Alyssa Sharpensteen; four aunts: Faye McCoy, Cheryl D. Menifee (Jackie), Alicia Allen (Joseph), Etoi Mency and one uncle: Wesley Holmes (Tequilla). First cousins: Pharaoh, Brandon, Braylon, Tenaja, Tay, Jayden, Caisha, Jadien, Jordan, DeShawana, Dream, Amir, Dashanera, Sierra, Jallyah, and Stori.
