Lillian Bootier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home - Springfield on Oct. 22, 2025.
Lillian Irene Bootier, 85, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on July 6, 1940 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Lillian lived a full and vibrant life marked by resilience, generosity, and a deep love for her family.
Lillian was the beloved wife of the late James "Jimmy" Bootier. Together they built a life rooted in dedication and care. She was a devoted mother to her children: Marianne Cole Bootier, Joseph Bootier, Deborah Bootier, Michael Bootier, and Vincent Bootier. She also carried in her heart the memory of her sons Jim Bootier and Anthony Bootier, and her granddaughter Alexis Bootier, who predeceased her.
Known for her spirited personality and unwavering strength. Lillian was someone who never hesitated to offer help when it was needed most. Though she had a tough exterior, those who knew her well understood the warmth and compassion that lay beneath. Her sense of humor and zest for life made her a joy to be around.
Lillian had a passion for travel and especially loved going on cruises - each voyage an opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories. A dedicated bingo enthusiast, she rarely missed a game and found joy in the camaraderie it brought. She was also a true foodie who delighted in discovering new flavors and sharing meals with loved ones.
Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
Care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. Degraffenreid-Wood-Crematory.
