Angel Rodriguez Garcia, Jr. died September 4, 2025. He was born July 21, 2018 in Loxahatchee, Florida. A resident of Okeechobee for two years, he loved his mom like never before, and loved listening to music and going to the beach.
Angel was preceded in death by his brothers, Giovani and Armani; great grandmother, Maria Maldonado; and uncle, Luis Maldonado.
He is survived by his mother, Gisel Velazquez Mojica, of Melbourne, Florida; father, Angel Rodriguez Garcia, of Tampa, Florida; stepfather, Jessie Velazquez Mojica, of Melbourne, Florida; sisters, Neli Rodriguez Garcia, Khloe Velazquez, and Eliana Velazquez, all of Melbourne, Florida; aunt, Elisa Padgett, of Okeechobee, Florida; uncle, Josue Gonzalez Rodriguez, of Okeechobee, Florida; grandmother, Neli Maldonado, of Okeechobee, Florida; grandfather, Josue Gonzalez Rodriguez, of Okeechobee, Florida; and great grandfather, Luis Maldonado.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2025, at Buxton Okeechobee Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
