WATERBURY - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angel Gomez Aguasvivas, who left us on October 27, 2025, at the age of 93. Angel was born on October 11, 1932, in Bani, Dominican Republic, the son of the late Juan and Cristina Alicia (Medina) Gomez and later made his home in Waterbury, Connecticut, where he cherished his family and friends.
Angel is remembered for his warm spirit and kind heart. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Altagracia Gomez-Ortiz, and their children. Angel's journey now continues in peace, and his spirit will forever be a part of those who loved him.
A memorial service for Angel will be held on Friday, October 31st, 2025, at 6:30 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. Friends and relatives may visit with Angel's family on Friday evening from 5:00pm until the time of the service at 6:30. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
