WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness that the family of Lucien E. Larrivee, fondly known as "Champ", age 79, of Waterbury, shares the news of his peaceful passing in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love and care of his family, on Friday, December 5, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Karen (Sawczuk) Larrivee.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Karen (Sawczuk) Larrivee, his children, Matthew of North Haven, Leslee Larrivee Kolenda, and her husband, Adam of Hardwick, MA. Champ was blessed with three adoring grandchildren: Allie and Bennett Kolenda, and Emily Delia Larrivee. He also leaves his sister, Lucille Larrivee Naughton of Ossining, NY, sisters-in-law, Harriet Sawczuk of Naugatuck, Gloria Sawczuk Meholik and her husband Stanley Jr. of Seymour, several nieces, nephews, and grandnephews, as well as close friends.
Funeral services for Champ will be held on Friday, December 12th, 2025, at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury, CT. Relatives and friends may pay their respects and visit with his family from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 12:00. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. To honor Champ's memory, donations to Hartford Healthcare Mechanical Circulatory Support Program, 85 Seymour Street, Suite 603, Hartford, CT 06106 would be greatly appreciated by his family.
