With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Angel Rafael Pintado, who departed from this life on September 4, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on October 6, 1946, Angel lived a life defined by quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and a deep generosity of spirit.

Angel proudly served his country as a Vietnam War veteran, completing two tours of duty with courage and honor. His commitment to service reflected that same values he carried throughout his life- loyalty, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved.

Beyond his service, Angel was a proud fisherman and lifelong lover of the sea. The ocean was his sanctuary – a place where he found joy, reflection, and a connection. Whether casting a line at sunrise or sharing stories of the ones that got away, Angel's bond with the water was as enduring as his love for family.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather- a guiding light across generations. His wisdom, warmth, and gentle humor created a foundation of love that continues to echo through the lives of his family. Whether offering advice, sharing stories, or simply being present, Angel has a way of making everyone feel seen and valued.

Angel is survived by his daughter, Angelmarie Pintado; his stepson, Stephen Gerardi; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Cameran, Benjamin, and Mandy; and his great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy with pride and affection. His memory will live on in the traditions he started, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and honor the man he was.

"Go down to the sea once more, Old Sailor… For where else would an Old Jack Tar be? But riding the waves, and tasting the brine, out there, on God's Heavenly Seas." -Richard John Scarr.
