It is with deep sadness we announce that beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, Angela Chambers passed away peacefully on August 22nd, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born to Gary and Alice Faye Bates on April 5th, 1968 in Rome, Georgia, she lived a life of joy, love, and selflessness for 56 years. She was the devoted mother to her daughter, Hannah Ussery, a schoolteacher, and her son, Evan Chambers, a student at Virginia Tech. She worked as a Computer Programmer after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Southern Tech in Marietta, Georgia. After having her daughter, Hannah, she met her steadfast husband Curtis Chambers, where they had their son, Evan. From Georgia, the family moved to Jupiter, Florida in 2006 for a new job and new adventure. In Florida, Angie worked as a High School Computer Science teacher for many years. After retiring from teaching, she spent her time dedicated to her children, husband, art and volunteering. She had a love for art that extended through everything she did. Angie was a committed volunteer at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida as a docent (educated tour guide). She also held a deep love for nature, which was not only represented in her art, but in how she lived her life. She volunteered at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a rehabilitation center for sea turtles, in Jupiter, Florida. She had a deep love and kindness for everyone she met and volunteered as a mentor to students in need. Getting ready for her "3rd act", Angie and Curt bought a home in beautiful Flat Rock, North Carolina in May 2023 to retire to. She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in September of 2023. Angie has been a blessing to everyone who's lives she's touched and her spirit will continue to guide us in everything we do.
Angela is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, Curtis, her daughter, Hannah, her son, Evan, her sister, Becky, her cousin, Cindy, her nieces, Laurel and Emily, her closest friends Michelle, Teri and Sylvia, and all those that loved her as she loved them.
Angela's Graveside Service will be Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, Angie has requested donations be made to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center for Dr. Peter Hosein's Research Fund.

Angie was a lovely person-she just lit up any place she was in. I met her in the docent class too and we all just loved her.

I worked with Curtis for 13 years and the amount of times he started a conversation with "Angie and I" was countless. I did have the pleasure of meeting her and me and Curtis both agreed that we both have awesome but strong minded wives.

My thoughts and prayers are with Angie's family and friends. I met Angie at The Norton Docent training where she was always a bright smile in our class and always willing to share her amazing enthusiasm, knowledge and tips on studying. Truly a great loss.
God Bless you all.
