Angela Duncan, age 57, a beloved wife, loving mother, family member, and friend, passed away at her home in
Bloomington, Indiana on Thursday, February 26, 2026, following complications of the flu, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength.
Born in Arcadia, California and raised in
Jamestown, Tennessee, Angela carried her small-town values with her throughout her life and proudly considered herself a lifelong Hoosier and Bloomington townie. She was a huge fan of Indiana Hoosier sports and loved cheering them on with passion, pride, and coordinating outfits and bracelets.
For 30 + years, Angela served as a nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others in their most vulnerable moments. Nursing was more than a profession to her-it was a calling. With steady hands and a gentle spirit, she offered comfort, dignity, and reassurance to countless patients and families. Bringing bright, spunky energy to otherwise quiet rooms. Her compassion extended far beyond her work.
Angela had a huge heart, filled with love for animals, the elderly, her friends, and foremost, her family. She gave selflessly of herself, always putting others before her own needs. To know Angela was to feel cared for, accepted, and deeply loved.
She found great joy in spending time with friends, traveling to warm, sunny places, and enjoying life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed music, concerts, watching sunsets, fishing, and the excitement of auto racing. Always the life of the party, Angela brought laughter, energy, and warmth wherever she went.
As a wife and mother, Angela was the heart of her home-loving, loyal, passionate, and endlessly supportive. She was deeply loved by her husband, Brent Duncan, and was a proud and devoted mother to her daughter, Bailey Duncan.
"Angela leaves behind her husband, Brent Duncan, her daughter, Bailey Duncan, her mother, Connie Smith, her son-in-law, Christian Kammel, her sister, Shannon Hayes, her mother-in-law, Marilyn Duncan, her sister-in-law, Julie Morron. A well as her niece, Abby Sears, her nephew, Moses Sears, and their boys Ezra, Ethan, and Eli. Angela is also survived by her cherished beagle Annie and Bocephus; her "feral" cat."
A graveside service will be held at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg on Saturday, March 14th at 1:00 p.m. This will be followed by a celebration honoring Angela's beautiful life at the Rusty Anchor Lakeside (formerly Fairfax Inn). All friends, family, and acquaintances are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Loved deeply. Gone, but not forgotten. A beautiful soul taken from our lives far too soon.
