Angela Maria Kimber (formerly Coviello, Vance, and Swanson) passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 71. She was born on July 17, 1954, in Malone, New York, the oldest of four children born to Joseph Coviello and Gladys Russell.
Angela grew up in Malone, where she developed her lifelong love of family, faith, and service to others. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served a mission in Mesa, Arizona, where she later chose to make her home and live out her life.
Angela was a woman of remarkable creativity and compassion. She built a career making exquisite wedding cakes from her home and also ran a jewelry business, all while raising her family and serving those around her. She was known for her themed parties, her humor, her love of puzzles and Bunco, and most of all, her ability to make everyone feel loved and cared for. Her kindness, reliability, and willingness to help others were unmatched.
She faced a lifetime of health challenges with faith, grace, and courage-including surviving thyroid cancer and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, as well as undergoing two open-heart surgeries. Despite these trials, she remained a bright light to all who knew her, continually putting others before herself.
Angela's husband, George Kimber, shared that she was a woman of selfless love and unwavering strength. In 2018, when George's parents were in the late stages of dementia, Angela insisted on caring for them herself-organizing, managing, and loving them as her own. This act of compassion was just one example of the countless ways she lived her faith and served others with a Christlike heart.
Before settling down, Angela served her mission, lived in Hawaii and Alaska, and built lifelong friendships that spanned more than fifty years. She was an extraordinary woman whose love, service, and faith left an enduring mark on everyone who knew her.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Coviello and Gladys Russell, her sister Gigi Clancy, and her former spouse Swanson Braxton.
She is survived by her loving husband George Kimber; her children Alycia & Garrett Williams and Landon & Shawna Vance; her beloved grandchildren Brynlee Williams, Garrison Williams, Brooklyn Vance, Eleanor Vance, Adam Vance, and Soren Vance; her siblings Bernetta Calderone, Louis Coviello, and Patti & Perry Smith; her nephew Justin & Sarah Caruso and their children Braxton, Bella, Conrad, and Sophie; her niece JoDanna Brisbon and her children Alissa & Brigham Hoover, Hailey Brisbon, and Gavin Brisbon; and her niece Tess Clancy.
Angela is also survived by George's children - Antoinette L. Kimber, Germaine M. Kimber, and Tawana S. Rickenbacker, and preceded in death by George S. Kimber II, Gordon M. Kimber, and Gerrell M. Kimber. She is lovingly remembered by George's grandchildren - Brandon Kimber, Marquis Early, Germaine Kimber Jr., Marquis Smith, Chloe Courtney, Marsalis Kimber, Camerin Kimber, Chrisette Kimber, Dontae Stewart, Devon Stewart, Jayden Stewart, Isaiah Kimber, and Nicolette Kimber - and by George's seven great-grandchildren (and counting), as well as Swanson Braxton's extensive family, who remained an important part of her life and legacy.
Angela will be remembered for her service to others, her kindness, her creativity, and her unwavering faith. Her legacy lives on in her family, her friends, and all whose lives she touched through her love and example.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1266 S 32nd St, Mesa, Arizona 85204.
