Angela R. Loonsfoot

Angela R. Loonsfoot, (nah-way-cumic-go-kwe, center of the earth woman), age 53 of Baraga, MI passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was born in L'Anse, MI on April 16, 1972 the daughter of Eugene Loonsfoot, Sr and Carol (Maki) Wettberg. Angela attended school in L'Anse. She married Tim Friisvall in Zeba on August 22, 2020. Angela had been employed with Tribal Industries working in various capacities. She was a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. Angela enjoyed watching football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, gambling, traveling, and being outside. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and her entire family.
Angela is survived by her loving family, her children Carla (Isaac) Kyllonen of Baraga, Chris Loonsfoot of Baraga, Alden Connor, III of Baraga and Adrien Connor of Baraga, grandchildren Jayla, Adrianna, Dez, Roland, Briella, Deklan, and Ryver, husband Tim Friisvall of Baraga, her parents, brother Brian, sisters Diana, Erin, and Jaimee, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A wake will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Zeba Hall until 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025 when a traditional native service will be held. Immediately following the traditional native service, interment will take place in the Assinins Cemetery.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
