Angela Renee Mitchell was the youngest daughter of Willis and Mary Mitchell; she was born at Womack Army Hospital, August 29, 1968. She came home to three sisters, Diane Brenda, and Cynthia.
She was educated in the public schools of Cumberland County, graduating from Terry Sanford High School in 1986. Angela was a cheerleader for 4 years and immensely enjoyed cheering. She was a member of the HOSA (Health Occupation Service Association).
Angela was president of the Silhouettes, one of the social clubs and a member of the Student Forum.
Angela accepted Christ at an early age at the Second Baptist Church and participated in Sunday School, WIC, the Junior Choir and The W. E. Beamon Angelic Gospel Singers, In the Junior Choir she led her first song, "Oh Happy Day." She loved music and her Savior. She enjoyed the fellowship of the other youth and the activities they engaged in: bowling and roller skating.
Angela became an "Eagle" as she matriculated at North Carolina Central University. She became a Health Educator. Angela worked for these two agencies: the North Carolina Department of Health Services and the North Carolina Health and Human Services. Helping and serving others was her passion.
Angela met Terrance D. Saulter while enrolled at North Carolina Central University. They married December 28, 1991, at Solid Rock Bible Church. They were the first couple to be married at the Rock. The building was newly erected and the carpeting had not been laid down. The union was blessed with one daughter, Jordan Renee Saulter, on October 21, 2003. The couple established residence in Durham, North Carolina. They visited Solid Rock often and purchased the first hymnals for Solid Rock Bible Church.
The Saulters joined Northeast Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Wesley Elam and his wife, Sylvia and were involved in the ministries of the church. Angela believed in working in the Lord's vineyard; pew sitting was not for her. She participated in various ministries at Northeast, they were The Soulettes Choir, Health and Wellness Ministry, Welcome and Greeters Ministry, Sisters in Salvation, Women's Support Group Ministry, Married Couples Ministry, The Tribe of Judah, the dance ministry, and attended Bible Study and Sunday School.
Life takes many twists and turns, and Angela returns to Fayetteville. She worshiped with The Restoration Place. She continued helping others because she was certainly a people person.
