Angela “Angie” Scirotto, 50, passed away suddenly following a medical emergency. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, teammate, and mentor whose warmth, humor, and fierce competitive spirit touched everyone who knew her. A gifted athlete, Angie lit up Western Pennsylvania girls’ basketball in the early 1990s. At Monessen High School, she formed one of the WPIAL’s most prolific scoring duos alongside all-time league scoring leader Gina Naccarato. During the 1992–93 season, Angie averaged more than 20 points per game (20.2), a mark still remembered in local hoops circles today. Her talent, determination, and love for the game inspired teammates and competitors alike. Beyond the court, Angie dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as a counselor with youth, offering guidance, encouragement, and compassion. Her ability to connect deeply with young people—helping them through challenges and celebrating their successes—was a true gift that left a lasting impact on countless lives. Above all, Angie’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving son, Gio “Hubby” Isbell, and her brother, Larry Scirotto, who will forever cherish her memory. Angie’s love for Gio was immeasurable, and she took great pride in being his mom. Those who knew Angie will remember her quick smile, her relentless drive, and her ability to turn strangers into friends. Her legacy will live on in the young lives she counseled, the teammates she inspired, and the family who loved her. Friends will be received Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen.
