Angela “Angie” Sue Trieb (Gwinn), 64, of Indianapolis, IN, was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 28, 1960, the daughter of Wanita (Smith) and Gordon Gwinn, and passed away on August 25, 2024, in Mount Crested Butte, CO.
Angie married the love-of-her-life, Jay Trieb, in an intimate ceremony on August 8, 1987. The couple had two children together. Angie and Jay remained unwavering life partners on the night of Angie’s passing.
Angie’s free-spirited love of life was at the core of her essence. She was steadfast and sometimes stubborn, but she had a huge heart and was always willing to help friends and family when she could. Prior to an accident that left her disabled, Angie enjoyed a fulfilling career, in the public school system, working with children with special needs. In her personal life, Angie was always on the move, making sure she lived life to the fullest. Whether it was a yard or house project, running errands, visiting friends and family, spending time with her grandchildren, or jet-setting to the beach, she never let a minute go to waste. Angie loved music and dancing, and she will always be remembered as the “life-of-the-party” by those who knew and loved her.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Wanita Gwinn. She is survived by her loving husband, Jay Trieb, daughter, Marissa Trieb, and son, Dustin Trieb, in addition to her four sisters, Teresa Gwinn, Stephanie Hadwin (Gwinn), Jennifer Polley (Gwinn), and Amy Myers (Gwinn).
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Geist, located at 7855 Cork Rd., Indianapolis, IN, 46236.
