Angelina (Angie) Almina Zenti was born on April 8, 1931 in Princeton, Michigan. In Michigan, Angie enjoyed picking blueberries and riding her blue bike. She loved her cow, Nellie, who she would call in every evening from the fields to be milked. Because of her father's failing health, she and her family moved to Santa Clara, California when she was 13 years old. She attended Santa Clara High School and graduated in 1948. After graduation, Angie entered the Stanford Nursing program and graduated in 1953. Many friendships were made and she kept in touch with her classmates for more than 50 years. She then moved to Los Angeles and took post grad classes in Public Health and did her field work in Bakersfield. After acquiring a job with the San Mateo County Health Department, she worked as a public health nurse until meeting and marrying Jack in 1957. That ended her working career, at least in the field of medicine. Jack and Angie moved to Lodi, Yuba City, and finally Carmichael where they lived in the house they had built for more than 60 years. Having 4 children along the way and also working for few months from nursery to school nursing, she also worked for a hearing screening company after her children were grown. She went to schools from Eureka to Tahoe conducting hearing tests.

Jack and Angie also traveled the world. They've been from Japan to China and Alaska to New Zealand and many stops in between. Their love of travel lasted many years, driving across country many times. Angie would often say "We need to take a trip, dad" and off they would go.

Angie and Jack have been married for 68 years. They have 4 children together and 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way as well as many other loving family members. They were members of St. John the Evangelist Church for over 60 years. Angie was very active with the parish from when her kids were in school there until just before they moved. She was one of their first Eucharistic ministers, cleaned and decorated the church, counted the money, and many other volunteer activities. St. John's recognized her for their 2016 Woman of the Year, for all her volunteer work. Angie and Jack have had a beautiful full life together with many good memories with family and friends. We love her so much and she will be greatly missed.
