Virginia Chacon passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025 while in the hospital. Virginia is survived by her children: Mary, Bernadette, Jose, and James. Also her grandchildren: Leticia, Darryl Jr., Valerie, Lance Jr., Mario, Jose Jr., Daniel, Serena, Santino, Xavier, Gabriel, Isaiah, Alyssa, Conner, Reyna, along with four great grandchildren who she loved very much, She is preceded in death by her husband of 58+ years Joe L. Chacon, her daughter Connie L. Chacon, and her grandson Michael Sagario.

Virginia was born in Sacramento, California to parents Thomas and Maria Sanchez. She was the 3rd youngest of 20 children. She loved all of her brothers and sisters dearly. In middle school Virginia would meet her husband Joe. They dated in high school, and shortly after high school they married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sacramento. Virginia would become the homemaker while Joe graduated college and provided for the family. They made a great team. Virginia was a very compassionate mother who was very proud of her family. She put them above anything else.

Virginia was also a very devoted Catholic. She enjoyed going to Sunday Mass with her husband, reading the Bible, and praying the rosary. Virginia never took anything for granted and always counted her blessings, especially after she learned of her kidney failure in 2013. She did not let it stop her from living life, loving her family, or caring for others. Besides her love of religion, Virginia loved to listen to music from her era, cook delicious food, and watching her favorite tv shows. We are thankful to have had her in our lives.

Virginia will be sorely missed by anyone who had the honor of knowing her. She put others first before herself, and would always be there for you. God Bless her. We will miss you mom. Rest in peace, we love you very much.
