Frank J. Bouza
November 1, 1931 – May 30, 2025
Frank passed away on Friday May 30 th 2025. He was born on November 1, 1931 in Sacramento to Angelo and Frances Bouza of Jackson, California.
He graduated from Jackson High School where he played baseball, basketball, football and tennis. Frank was elected President of the School his senior year.
He attended Stockton Jr. College and then served four years in the Navy during the Korean War. After his discharge he attended San Jose State College where he and Sylvia met. They married in 1957 and had their two children: Matt (Marianne) of Lafayette and Stephanie (Tony Samaniego) of El Dorado Hills.
In 1963 Frank and Sylvia moved to Sacramento where they opened their own retail business. "Bouza's for Children" served the community for 34 years selling the latest in cribs, strollers, car seats, and clothing for children.
Frank loved to play baseball, so at age 55 he joined the senior softball league in Sacramento. For many years, he and Sylvia traveled with the team around the United States, competing and winning various championships.
Frank was always there for others. He loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He never met a stranger… just a friend he hadn't spoken to before.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, their son Matt (Marianne) and daughter Stephanie (Tony Samaniego), grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frank and Sylvia shared their lives together for 68 years. Whether it was raising their family, running their business or traveling, they were always happiest being together.
We all will miss his laughter, his support and his presence.

My heartfelt condolences to the family.
I loved working at Bouzas in Carmichael and loved the ladies that showed me the way in the store Wilma, Betty, Sylvia, and Daniel. Where has time gone. Years later when I started my own family I would stop by the store and say hello, to Frank.

I am so sorry to just learn of Frank passing away. I was grateful to have worked for him as a stock boy and delivery driver about late1968 into1970. He was an amazing boss, who I learned so much from and was able to carry his management style with me in my career.
