Angeline Idella Boehnke, age 89, of Flatonia, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loved ones. Angeline, daughter of Adolph Novak, Sr., and Idella Mica Novak. She is the oldest of four children, Adolph, Leonard, & Margaret Novak. Angeline graduated from Flatonia High School in 1954, has a B.S. Degree from Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, where she taught at Taft, Texas for three years before teaching in the Homemaking Department in the Flatonia for the next 32 years before retirement. Angeline has been married to her husband for 59 years, Wiley Boehnke. Has one daughter, Tracey and one grandson, Micah age 11.
Visitation for friends and family will begin from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, June 6th at Smith Funeral Home - Flatonia. Rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, followed by burial at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia with Father Samuel, officiating. Snacks & refreshments at the Catholic Church Hall after. Please feel free to bring snacks to the hall.
