Angeline L. Rice passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1930 to Guiseppi and Maria Lombardi.
Angeline was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was employed at the Canton Repository and the Timken Company. Angeline was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a former member of the Rosary Altar Society, Afternoon Card Club, and the Red Hat Society.
Her greatest enjoyment was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved tending to her flowers.
Another enjoyment was having her family over for Sunday dinner, especially for Christmas Eve, an Italian tradition continued by her son, Paul. One of the highlights of her life was visiting Italy and seeing the home where her parents lived. She was proud of her Italian heritage.
Angeline is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene A. Rice, brother, Anthony, and sister, Arsilia.
Angeline is survived by her loving children, Paul E. (Ann) Rice, Claudia (Harry) Sell, Sharon K. (James) Taylor, Alison M. (James) Knebl, and David J. (Vickie) Rice. She leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Michael (Allison) Sell, Melanie (Alex) DiMarzio, Christopher (Autumn) Sell, Joshua (Michelle) Taylor, Audra (Jeff) Carter, Lindsay (Kevin) Crawford, John (Kristy) Rice, Jonathan Nelson, Brandy Nelson, Christina Nelson, Nicholas (Autumn) Knebl, Victor (Kelly) Knebl, and Ryan Knebl. Angeline is also survived by her 15 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held for Angeline on December 26, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Sanders Funeral Home, 218 E. Nassau St., East Canton, OH 44730. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 10 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2207 3rd Street SE, Canton, OH 44707, with Fr. Kevin Peters officiating. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery will follow her funeral Mass.
