Angelita Zink Obituary

Angel was preceded in death by her mother, Angelita Dicks; her father, Antonio Guajardo; her brother, Frank Guajardo; her sister, Debbie Weatherford; and her late husband, Joseph Zink.
A devoted homemaker, Angel spent her life raising her four children. She was an excellent cook, and nothing made her happier than feeding the people she loved. Whether she was making the weekly dinners, tamales for a special occasion, weekend peanut butter cookies, or Elephant ears on New years eve - the food was amazing and made with love. Angel would always call and text the ones she loved to make sure they were ok and nothing was needed.
Adventurous and never intimidated by the weather, Angel walked wherever she wanted, whenever she could. She loved taking her kids on walks to the park. Angel believed in keeping her kids active and never wanted them stuck inside. She pushed them to get out, explore, and live life - just as she always did.
She loved listening to Journey and Fleetwood Mac. Just about anything with a good beat and she could dance to. She took great joy in good-naturedly tormenting her grandkids with her favorite horror movies, always delighted to get a rise out of them.
Her grandchildren will especially miss the holidays with her. Teaching them to make tamales, rolling a great tortilla, making holiday cookies, or frying up some elephant ears. Present on Christmas, Thanksgiving dinners, ringing in the New Year, and 4th of July fireworks. Birthdays, graduations, weddings, and future grandbabies.
She is survived by her children: James Zink of Lafayette, IN; Nick (Jennifer) Zink of Lafayette, IN; Olivia Zink of Lafayette, IN; and Joel Zink of Lafayette, IN.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Liam, Alysiah, Lucas, Avayah, Riley, Juliana, and Jaslynn.
Angel is further survived by her siblings: Alex Guajardo of Lafayette, IN; Norma Guajardo of Indianapolis, IN; Barbara Chumley (Mike) of Lafayette, IN; Nancy (Chris) Guajardo of Lafayette, IN; and Judy Nuerge of Lafayette, IN.
Services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services, 1671 W 350 N, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
Private burial will take place at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens at a later date.
