ANGELO JOSEPH COZZARELLI

1935 - 2023

BUFFALO GROVE - Angelo Joseph Cozzarelli, 87, was born on August 21, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ, to Nicola and Catherine (nee Meluso) Cozzarelli. He died Monday, April 17, 2023, at Northwest Community Hospital. Mr. Cozzarelli was a career long accountant, having been employed with General Foods, Siemens Gammasonics and other companies. He was a longtime and active member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary Council #4483, where he served on the Building Council for many years and was a Past Grand Knight. He was also a member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Assembly #2410. Angelo was a member and active volunteer at St. Edna Catholic Church, where he participated in the Men's club and volunteered with the parish picnic and dinner theater. He also enjoyed assisting the Bingo team which, between St. Edna and the Knights of Columbus Hall, he did for over 50 years. Angelo enjoyed attending sporting events, especially Cubs and Wolves games. He loved to travel, read and watch mysteries and Westerns. Angelo is survived by his children, Joseph, James (Bernadette), Michael, and Katherine; and his granddaughters, Alexis and Celeste. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eileen; his daughter, Nancy; his parents; his brothers, Frank and Nick; and his daughter-in-law, Bernadette. Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment following at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Edna Catholic Church.
