Angelo Tirri, M.D., age 91, passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2014.
Born in Licata, Sicily, he lived in the Brunswick area most of his life, where he was a respected Obstetrician/Gynecologist for many years. Dr. Tirri was proud to continue his education throughout his life and retained his medical license until his death. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Randolph, as well as other churches. He enjoyed getting together with his friends for weekly breakfast meetings at McDonalds. Dr. Tirri was a strong, kind and very generous man who loved his family very deeply, especially his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son, Joseph, he is survived by sons, John and Michael (Sandy); daughters, Mary Ann (Dave) Talbott and Angela (Darrell) French; grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah, Joseph, Anthony and Sydnee; brothers and sisters who reside in Sicily; and the mother of his children, Margaret Ann Tirri.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio. Further services and burial will take place in Baltimore, Md. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2463 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260.
