Mrs. Angela Diane Hogue "Angie" Brown, 60, of the Eagle Grove Community, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Born on August 31, 1964 in Mt. Clemens MI, she was the daughter of John Franklin Hogue and Carla Newton Steele. Angie was a graduate of Athens Tech, a homemaker and was a former Clerk for the Hart County Tax Commissioners office. Angie loved to read, shopping and spending time with her grandkids who referred to her as "MeMe". She was also a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents: Franklin Hogue (Gail) of Woodstock GA and Carla Steele (Gene) of Lawrenceville GA; her husband: David L. Brown; a daughter: Madison Brown (Jason Soboleski) of Hartwell; two sons: Jeremy Brown (Katherine) of Temecula CA and Joshua Brown of Ft. Bragg NC; a brother: John Hogue (Claire) of Ball Ground GA; two sisters: Katie Buffington (Rev. Ken) and Sheri Buffington (Chris) all of Hartwell and four grandchildren: Griffin Brown, Kendell Brown, Sydney Brown and Remi Soboleski also survive.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church, 3966 Elberton Hwy, Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Angie Brown will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church with Rev. Ken Buffington officiating.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
