Angie BriAnne Mestad, 27, passed away on October 25, 2024. She is survived by her loving mother, Audrey Wilson-Howell, and her stepmother, Marie Wilson-Howell; her cherished sisters, Amber Audlin and her spouse Joshua Audlin, and Aimee Mestad and her spouse Wesley Mintz; and Aimee and Wesley's beloved children, Arielle, Blaine, and Carl, whom she adored and spoiled at every opportunity. She was preceded in death by her father, John Mestad.
Angie graduated from West Brunswick High School in 2015, where she was actively involved in the flag Corp and ROTC. She participated in softball and cheerleading in her elementary years. After high school, she worked as a waitress before proudly serving in the Marine Corps, following in the footsteps of both her parents, with her mother being her true inspiration. Angie was a beacon of sweetness and joy, always ready to share a laugh and create memories. Music was her constant companion, reflecting her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She loved going to concerts, singing, and dancing the night away.
She was passionate about animals, with a special fondness for horses. She treasured her friendships and loved her dog Grizzly, often taking him for walks on the beach. Angie had a taste for matcha, red wine, sushi, and spending time by the ocean. She was renowned for being the best gift giver and card writer, always knowing just what to say with heartfelt sincerity. She loved reading, curling up with a good movie, and getting dolled up with her signature red lipstick and sparkly high heels, complementing her beautiful long curly blonde hair, captivating light blue eyes, and deep dimples that appeared every time she smiled.
Angie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing games with her family, sitting around a fire at night, and reveling in the great outdoors. Kayaking, camping, and exploring nature were among her favorite activities, providing a sense of freedom and adventure.
Angie's love for her family was profound, often expressing her admiration for her mother and the bond she shared with her sisters. She cherished her partner, David Camarena, and his family. Above all, Angie loved love and embodied it in every relationship she nurtured.
A funeral service will be held at Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel on October 31, 2024. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Burial will following in Brunswick Memorial Gardens with military honors.
