Dr. Anibal Escobar, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected plastic surgeon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. He lived a life shaped by compassion, curiosity, service, and an unwavering desire to help others.
A lifelong learner with a brilliant mind, he found joy in reading, history, music, the arts, science, and especially opera. His education at the University of Pennsylvania fueled both his professional excellence and his love of culture. Throughout his career, he carried his skills far beyond the operating room, serving on mission trips that allowed him to bring healing and dignity to those with the greatest need-work that reflected the heart of who he was.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ivonne; his children Carlos, Anibal, Rocio, Isabel, Martha, Lily, and Alberto; his grandchildren David, Daniel, Chris, Sylvia, Scarlett, and Iker. Though distance kept him from knowing each grandchild closely, he took great pride in his growing family and the legacy they represent.
He will be remembered for his integrity, sharp mind, gentle strength, and the countless lives he touched through his care, teaching, and love.
