Anita Kay Argueta, 65, of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away on May 18, 2025. Anita was born on August 13, 1959 in Ada, Oklahoma to her parents Clyde Joe Thomas and Alice G. Mosier.
Anita Kay Argueta, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend. Her life was a tapestry of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family and community. She was a proud graduate of Ada High School the year of 1977. Anita dedicated twenty-two years of her life to the Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Center, where her warm spirit and strong work ethic touched the lives of many. Whether she was preparing meals or sharing a smile, Anita's presence made the Center feel like home for all who walked through its doors. A lover of life's simple pleasures, Anita found joy in reading a good book, listening to her favorite music-especially the timeless sounds of The Eagles-and spending quality time with her daughters and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also enjoyed the thrill of a casino trip, where she often found both luck and laughter. Anita will be remembered for her generous heart, her sense of humor, and her deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the stories shared, the music she loved, and the many lives she brightened along the way.
Aneta was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Argueta.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, adoring grandchildren, who will forever miss her warmth and wisdom.
A celebration of Anita's life will be held at a later date. In honor of her memory, the family encourages you to play your favorite Eagles song, hug your loved ones, and take a moment to enjoy life-just as Anita always did.
