Anita Rose Beasley, 98, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026.
She was born April 26, 1927, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Harley and Marie Schmidt Southard. She was a proud graduate of Topeka High School. After graduation, she enjoyed being a proud alumni over the years.
Anita was employed with Topeka Foundry in Topeka, KS as a Billing Clerk. She also worked at Merchants National Bank for many years.
She was a faithful member of West Side Christian Church of Topeka. Anita was a proud member of the Eastern Star Loyal 176 of Silver Lake, Kansas.
Anita married William Stensett Beasley on September 14, 1946 in Topeka, KS. They had two children, Cheryl and William. Together, the two of them, enjoyed traveling, dancing and bowling.
In her spare time, she enjoyed time creating beauty in her flower garden and crafting. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she a had a wonderful collection of décor.
She leaves behind her children, Cheryl "Cheri" (Mark) Bruce and William "Bill" (Patti) Beasley and and her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Beasley; her parents and sister, Molly Jo Wallace.
Services are pending at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, KS. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association, 8001 Conser, Suite 240, Overland Park, KS 66204.
