Anita M. (Andreacci) Beiter, 81, of Loyalsock Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Celebration Villa of Loyalsock surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in Williamsport on January 22, 1944, a daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Adaline M. (Ciuccio) Andreacci. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Williamsport and attended Williamsport School of Commerce.
She married Robert W. Beiter on September 4, 1965 and went on to celebrate 50 years of marriage before his passing on March 17, 2016.
She is survived by their children Angela "Angi" M. (William D.) Welty of South Williamsport, Robert T. (Angie M.) Beiter of Williamsport, Paula J. Beiter (Melissa K. Machmer) of Williamsport, and Christopher J. Beiter of Philadelphia, grandchildren Brett (Annie) Garbrick, Dylan Garbrick, Hayden (Emily) Beiter, and Abbie Welty, many beloved cousins, nephews and nieces, in-laws, friends, and her loyal feline companion Sandy, who stood watch over her until her final moments. She was preceded in death by her brother John V. (Linda) Andreacci.
In addition to her tireless work as a mother to her four children and an extended group of bonus children, she worked for a time with her husband at the family business, Beiter's Appliance, now known as Beiters Mattress Furniture Appliance. Anita was well known for her community service. She was a member of St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church where she served as a eucharistic minister and took communion to the sick. She regularly led the crew at the hot sausage sandwich stand at the annual St. Boniface Carnival. Raised as a member of the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, she also helped make many delicious pizzas at their festival. She was a retired member of the Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary, the Loyalsock-Montoursville Senior Center, the Young Men's Democratic Club of Williamsport, Wheel Inn in Ralston, as well as her cousin's card club.
Anita was an adventurous traveler, having toured Italy numerous times with both friends and family. On her final trip to her family's homeland for her 75th birthday, she overcame the challenge of the steep climb up to the Pompeii forum and reconnected with her long-lost Lingardo cousins in Felitto in Campagna. She loved taking road trips to visit friends and family, which were the source of many fun memories with her travel companions. She also enjoyed tai chi, golfing, bowling, roller skating and was an avid tennis fan.
Later in life, as health challenges limited her travel, she was a cherished member of the community at Elmcroft/Celebration Villa of Loyalsock and made many new friends. She was a bit of a card shark and always seemed to pull a victory out at the last second when playing 31 (cad). She denied to the end that she had cards up her sleeve, however we still have doubts.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Celebration Villa of Loyalsock and her medical team for their compassionate care and support.
