Anita Bertuccini Obituary
Anita Marie Vazzana Bertuccini passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the age of 91, joining her beloved late husband Paul in love and eternal rest. "Neets" is survived by her three step-children: Karen B. Lucy (Rick), Dean Paul Bertuccini (Debbie), and Mark Carl Bertuccini (Patty); her grandchildren Amanda, Shannon, Megan, Dana, Paul, Tina, and Anthony; and 15 great-grandchildren. Anita was born in Baltimore, MD August 15, 1929, the daughter of Salvatore (Sam) Vazzana and Mary Guercio Vazzana, and moved with her parents at an early age to the Mississippi delta town of Leland, MS. Anita graduated from Loyola University, and retired from a long career with the Orleans Parish Public School System. The family extends special thanks to the caregivers at Fidelis Home, especially Ms. Gwen and Ms. Sharon, who tended faithfully to Anita. A Private Service and interment at Hope Mausoleum will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Children's Hospital, Office of Development, 200 Henry Clay Ave, New Orleans, LA 70118; phone # (504) 896-9375.
