Anita Beth Brinkmeyer
Feb 10 1952 - Oct 28 2025 Oct 28 2025
Anita Beth Brinkmeyer, lovingly known as Ma, Mama, Beth, or Granny, passed away peacefully at her home in McKinney, Texas, on October 28, 2025, at the age of 73.
Beth was born in McKinney, Texas, on February 10, 1952, to Estalena Mantooth and Leonard Gidney. On January 3, 1969, she married the love of her life, Delphine Brinkmeyer, and together they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion until his passing earlier this month on October 9, 2025.
Beth and Delphine raised two children, Darrell Brinkmeyer and Angela Sullivan, who were the pride and joy of their lives. She is survived by her daughter Angela Sullivan and husband Jimmy Sullivan, her son Darrell Brinkmeyer and wife Jackie, and her beloved grandchildren Hunter and Heather Brinkmeyer and Jordan and Kasey Sullivan and great grandchildren, Mia and Ashton. She is also survived by her brothers Larry (Patricia) Gidney, Ramsey (Carolyn) Gidney, and Mike (Sandra) Gidney, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delphine, her parents, her brother Bill Gidney, and sister-in-law Wanda Maxine Gidney.
Beth was known by many in the community through her 31 years of work as "The Dairy Queen Lady", where she made countless friendships and lasting memories. She later went on to work for the Collin County Courthouse Probation Department, where she retired after 12 years of service. Outside of work, her greatest joy was being with her family - cooking, gardening, and caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Most days, Beth could be found sitting at the kitchen table with Delphine, listening to classic country music, and in the evenings, watching old westerns together. Their quiet, simple love for one another was a beautiful example of devotion that inspired everyone who knew them.
Beth will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
