Anita Worley Gabbard, 67, of
McKee, Kentucky, passed away on January 29, 2026. She was born on February 3, 1958.
Anita was a devoted homemaker who loved her family deeply and faithfully lived her life in service to the Lord. Her home was a place of love, care, and guidance, and she worked tirelessly to provide for her family not only in daily needs, but also in spiritual strength and encouragement.
She raised her children in a way that honored God, teaching them the importance of faith, prayer, and living with purpose. Anita's life was a testimony of strong belief, a gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her kindness and compassion were evident to all who knew her, and she always sought to uplift others through her words and actions.
Anita was called to preach and sing, and she embraced that calling with joy and obedience. She ministered with great anointing, and her voice carried both power and comfort. She loved the presence of the Lord and cherished every opportunity to be among God's people, worshipping, serving, and sharing the message placed on her heart.
Singing was one of her greatest joys, and she used her gift to glorify God and encourage others. Anita's faith was not just something she spoke of - it was the foundation of her life, shining through in the way she loved, served, and lived.
Anita also had many talents throughout her life, and she was especially gifted with her hands. She could sew with skill and care, and she found true enjoyment in creating things for her family and home. Whether mending, crafting, or making something special for a loved one, Anita took pride in using her abilities to serve others.
Above all else, her greatest joy was found in her family. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were truly the center of her world, and she poured her love into them day after day. She treasured time spent with them and considered her role as wife, mother, and grandmother one of her highest callings.
Anita was known as a "talker" - someone who loved conversation and connection. She enjoyed visiting with others, sharing stories, offering encouragement, and making people feel welcome. Her warm spirit and love for fellowship left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She will also be remembered as a faithful helpmate to her husband, honoring him devotedly throughout their life together. Anita was a woman of deep compassion and unwavering commitment. In the same way, she lovingly cared for her mother, serving her with tenderness, patience, and respect. Anita considered it a blessing and responsibility to look after her, and her devotion reflected the selfless heart that defined her life.
Anita leaves behind seven children: Randall Jason Gabbard and wife Karen of Wilson, NC; Reuben Lee Gabbard of Naples, FL; Benjamin James Gabbard and wife Tiffany of Corbin, KY; Joanna Tamar Robinson and husband Travis of East Bernstadt, KY; Jeremiah Vernon Gabbard and wife Brittany of Tipp City, OH; Hannah Jane Gabbard of Naples, FL; Luke Caleb Gabbard and wife Holly of Corbin, KY.
