Larry "Homer Jack" Saylor, age 61, of Manchester, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

He leaves behind three children, Julianna Montoya & wife Samantha of Manchester, KY, Jason Gross of Manchester, KY, Les Gross of Ohio; seven siblings, Henry Saylor & wife Polly of Manchester, KY, Lee Saylor & wife Nora of California, Josh Saylor of Manchester, KY, Jimmy Saylor of Manchester, KY, Frances Saylor Hoover & husband Jeff of Mt. Juliet, TN, Ola Saylor of Arizona, Brenda Saylor of Manchester, KY; two grandchildren, Summer Jarvis & Shiann Jarvis; special nieces, Amber Saylor & Mesa Nelson; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville & Katie Gibson Saylor; his sister, Allie Fair Saylor; and by his cousin who was like a brother, Elbert Saylor.

Larry was a retired heavy equipment operator who leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and a life spent enjoying the outdoors. Throughout his years of work, he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for those he loved.

Larry was a devoted family man whose daughter was truly the center of his world. He was proud of his family and treasured every moment spent with them. In his later years, his grandchildren became the light of his life, and he cherished the time he was able to spend with them, creating memories that will be forever treasured.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending his free time riding his ATV four-wheeler, fishing, and camping. Whether it was a quiet day by the water or an adventure outside, Larry felt most at home in nature. He also loved music of all kinds and could often be found listening to his favorite songs.

Above all, Larry will be remembered as an all-around good dad, a proud grandfather, and a man who deeply loved his family. His presence, laughter, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family and friends of Larry "Homer Jack" Saylor will gather on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
