Mrs. Anita Rhea Kirchner Revelle of Nashville, IL, departed this life at Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 5 P.M., after a struggle with Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementia. She had attained the age of 74 years, 11 months and 4 days.

Anita was born on September 26, 1950, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Howard L. and Hildegard E. (Schallom) Kirchner. She was the third of four daughters.

Her early education was in Iowa, and in Idaho. The family ultimately relocated to Illinois, where Anita completed high school in Seneca, IL. She met and married her future husband Donald W. Revelle, while he was a student at Illinois State University. They were married on January 2, 1971, and enjoyed a long, loving, and wonderful partnership that would last 54 years and 8 months.

Anita attended Illinois State University, graduating with a master's degree in history. She went on to teach numerous history and history related courses. She headed up several groups, such as "Senior Professionals", who were retired professionals who allied themselves with the University and the students to help mentor them in interviewing for jobs and preparation to enter the job market after college.

Anita was of the catholic faith and was very devout in her religion. She was very active in the Lexington, IL Kiwanis club, and the Lexington Hands All Around Quilt Club. She was an excellent quilt designer and spent much of her spare time in making quilts, especially "Quilts of Valor" to be sent to Wounded Soldiers and Veterans. She was also quite active in and devoted to the Washington County Historical Society and presented her feed sack presentation around the State of Illinois. She enjoyed riding antique Cushman motor scooters and was very active in the Cushman Club of America.

Anita is survived by her husband, Donald Revelle of Nashville, IL; 3 sisters, Arlene Ruth (John) Bell of Boise, ID, Audrey Rita Boyd of Mattoon, IL and Adele Roseann Koehler of Morris, IL., (the sisters fondly referred to each other as "the four arks."), daughter, Sara E. (Benjamin) Sauerhage of Lively Grove, IL; four grandchildren, Brennan S (Sydney) Compton of Pontiac, IL, Barin W. Compton of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Brynnley Anita Compton of Lively Grove, IL and Benning E. Sauerhage of Lively Grove, IL; 2 great granddaughters, Gracelynn E. Compton and Laken R. Compton both of Pontiac, IL; brother-in-law, Howard (Karen) Revelle of Brandon, FL; sister-in-law, Sharon Dameron of Lexington, IL; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two nephews and three brothers-in-law, Myron Boyd, Mark Koehler and M. Dale Revelle, along with several cousins.

Per the wishes of Anita and her family, cremation will be performed, and a memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Livley Grove, IL on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 10 A.M. with Fr. Chris Anyanwu officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. and on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL, from 9 A.M until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Anita's interest, memorial donations may be made to the Washington County Historical Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
