Frances E. "Sissy" Patton

Mrs. Frances "Sissy" E. Patton of Nashville, IL, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital Extended Care in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 5:31 P.M. She had attained the age of 92 years, 8 months and 5 days.

Frances was born on February 2, 1933, in Lively Grove, IL, the daughter of Carl C. and Frances (nee Shubert) Karg. She was united in marriage to Keith Patton on November 7, 1954, in Okawville, IL and he preceded her in death July 30, 2004.

Frances was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville, IL. She was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau, Home Extension, and she served as an election judge for many years. Frances enjoyed spending her time with her family, quilting and maintaining her garden.

Left to mourn her passing are her 4 children, Jeanna Kottmeyer and her husband David of Hoyleton, IL, Pam Schnake and husband Hank of Richview, IL, Paul Patton of Oakdale, IL, and Janet Sabo and husband Kevin of Hoyleton, IL; 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Winka, Chad (Jessie) Kottmeyer, Angie (Brandon) Eldridge, Kristin (Kristen) Schnake, Courtney and Nathan Guinzy, Laci (Christopher) Jankowski, Blake (Ericka) Patton, Lexi (Andrew) Biermann, Alisha (Christopher) Cobble and Kali (Cory) Martin; 21 great grandchildren, Jada and Makayla Winka, Graedon and Ayla Kottmeyer, Will and Katelyn Eldridge, Arlo and Levi Schnake, Brewer and Sloan Jankowski, Easton and Eli Patton, Noah and Eli Niedbalski, Valerie and Vivian Biermann, Rhett and Miles Cobble and Percival, Fahren and Winslow Martin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Frank, Colly and Norman Karg and a sister, Anna Green.

Funeral service will be held at the Oakdale Village Hall in Oakdale, IL on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jason Lane officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery in Oakdale, IL.

Friends may call at the Oakdale Village Hall in Oakdale on Friday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter or the Oakdale Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
