Anita May DeBaun Wilson passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born on January 29, 1942, to Arvis (Polly) and Francis Louise DeBaun. She married William Wilson on August 31, 1957. Anita and William loved to travel, especially to Amish Country. She was a member of the Farmersburg Methodist Church. Anita enjoyed playing Bingo and Uno at The Waters in Sullivan. Most of all she loved to spend time with her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Wilson, and son Anthony (Tony). Anita is survived by her three other children Bill Jr. and Anita Wilson, Tresa and Joe Rehmel, and Cecia and Jeff Copeland; six grandchildren Eric Wilson, Jarod Wilson, Anisha and Charles Murray, Brittany and Thomas McDonald, Luke and Laraiah Copeland, Alek Copeland and Courtney Lake; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2025, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Service will begin at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with Pastors Jeff Blansett and Don Ransford officiating. Burial will follow at Pogue Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of The Waters of Sullivan and Via Quest Hospice for the love and care given to Anita during her time there.
