Ann Bradley left this world on August 1, 2023, after a rich life and a long battle with dementia.
She was born to Thomas and Martha (Minkley) Gibson in Dallas, TX on December 23, 1929. She married Thomas Watson (Tom) Bradley on August 4, 1950. They had four children: Patricia, Martha, Susie and Janette.
Ann was talented at everything she did. Above and beyond raising her children, she was an expert seamstress, sewing beautiful clothes for many people. Her first love, though was writing. She wrote poetry and short stories and a novel. Her poems and stories are published in a book called Remnants Of My Mind, which she self-published on Amazon.
She was warm and a beacon of light wherever she went. She was also silly at the same time. We hold many memories of laughing with her until it hurt.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband Tom and her daughter Patricia. She is survived by her daughters Martha Dorsey and husband David Dorsey, Susie DeVargas, and Janette Nuckols, grandchildren Johnny DeVargas and Brenda Baca, Jason DeVargas and Stephanie Martinez, Patrick Dorsey and wife Diana Moskovitz, and Rae Ann Nuckols, great grandchildren Christina DeVargas, Jennifer DeVargas, Thomas DeVargas, Kayla DeVargas, Camila DeVargas and Cruz DeVargas.
A public visitation for Ann Bradley will begin on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 10:00am and a funeral service to follow at 11:00am in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory, Pastor Dion Cordova to officiate. Burial to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery.
The family of Ann Bradley had entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477
