Ann Brasher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service - Grenada on Jan. 27, 2026.
Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Forrest Brasher, 91, of Leverett, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, surrounded by her three children. She was born August 11, 1934, in Sumner to Saunders Doty Forrest and Mary Lee Phelps Forrest.

Ann was an amazing and loving mother, Granny, and Great-Grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She was a faithful member of Paynes Baptist Church for more than sixty years, until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Through every trial and season of illness, she never lost her faith and remained a true inspiration to all who knew her. Ann kept her eyes fixed on heaven and looked forward to the day she would be with her Heavenly Father.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, February 2, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Shea Brasher and Danny Forrest officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery at Paynes. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her daughter, Pat Little(Dennis) of Grenada; two sons, Alan Brasher(Amy) of Enid and Brent Brasher(Gabriela) of Holcomb; one brother, Jimmy Forrest of Plano, TX; eight grandchildren, Lance Mitchell, Libby Cunningham, Laci Brasher, Lauren Murphree, Jonathan Brasher, Danielle Brasher, Alexandra Brasher and Ben Brasher; six great-grandchildren with one more great-grandchild on the way.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Barton Brasher; sister, Mary Belle Moore; and brothers, Edward Forrest, Charles Forrest and Reginald "Bubba" Forrest.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Ben Brasher, Jonathan Brasher, Sam Brasher, Seburn Brasher, Charlie Forrest and Lance Mitchell.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Paynes Baptist Church.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Adoration Hospice for always being there for her. We especially want to thank her wonderful nurses, Connie and Michelle, with Adoration. She loved you both dearly. Also, to Gloria Light, her nurse and friend the past two years. You made such an impact in her last days. She truly loved and cherished you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mckibbenandguinn.com.
