Amelia "Ann" Hines Brendle was born July 31, 1941 at Guilford General Hospital, in
High Point, NC. She entered into the presence of her Savior on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the age of 84.
Ann grew up in High Point, attending High Point area schools including High Point High School.
In 1958 she married Robert (Bob) Brendle, who was her loving husband for 65 years, prior to his death in 2023. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was very talented, enjoying oil painting, knitting, porcelain and ceramics. At one point she opened a ceramics shop and studio, where she loved teaching others how to create works of art using ceramics and porcelain.
She was a Red Cross volunteer at the Presbyterian Home. She worked at High Point Memorial Hospital at The Soda Shop, and later at The Heart Healthy Cafe. In later years she worked at Pennybyrn at Maryfield in the Activities Department.
She loved her family and spending time with them. Special family meals, as well as annual family beach trips were always highlights for her. She also enjoyed knitting groups and yarn buying trips with special friends.
She was a member of Encounter Church of High Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, and her son, Rodney (Rod). Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kim Brendle Vernon and husband, John; daughter-in-law, Melba P. Brendle (Rod's wife); Grandchildren, Travis Vernon and fiancée, Wendy Patterson, Kyle Vernon and wife, Hillary, and Tracie Heavner; Great grandchildren, Sadie, Marlee, Millie, Nora, Mack, Devin and wife, Summer, Kaylee, and Carson; Great-great grandchildren, Maxton and Luka.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Pennybyrn for their expert care of Ann, as well as their loving support for the family. Thanks also go to the nurses of Hospice of the Piedmont for their care and support in Ann's final days.

A brief, casual, memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. Visitation will immediately follow the service from 3:30-5:00 pm at the funeral home.
