Ann Louise Bukowski

Ann Louise Bukowski, 61, of Wilmington, Delaware, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Born in Wilmington on August 30, 1961, she was one of four children, and the only daughter, of the late Harry and Helen (Laubacher) Cross.
Ann Louise was a graduate of Delcastle High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and was most proud of holding the free throw record for many years. Growing up, Ann Louise was passionate about playing music on the mandolin, flute, and guitar. She was a talented artist through many mediums of drawing, painting, crocheting, and sewing, which she loved to gift to her family. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially hosting bountiful holiday dinners. She was employed as a medical secretary with St. Francis Hospital for 40 years of dedicated, loyal service. Her family was truly the center of her life, and her greatest joy was the care and happiness of her children. Ann Louise and her husband Lenny shared a love that was admired by all.
Ann Louise was lovingly cared for throughout her final months, and Lenny would like to thank all those who shared in her care with him: their devoted children, Mike and Lauren; the staff of Bayada Hospice, Monica Bukowski Sellers, Harry Cross, Kenny Bukowski, Tracy Dickerson, Dawn Till, Amber Beatty, Brian Piane, and Josephine Ward.
Ann Louise will be dearly missed by her husband of 36 years, Leonard J. Bukowski, Jr.; her children, Michael L. Bukowski (Sarah) and Lauren Bukowski (Rose Walsh); her brothers, John Cross (Sheri), David Cross, and Harry Cross (Karen).
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at St. Matthew Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington on Wednesday, April 5 from 10:00 – 11:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM. Interment will be held privately.
