Ann Irene (Scanlon) Campbell, 82, of Tinton Falls, died on Monday 12/15/25 at Riverview Medical Center, surrounded by family. Ann was born in Far Rockaway (NY) to Irene and John Scanlon, along with four siblings Mary, John (dec.), Robert, and Ellen. Ann married the love of her life, Francis X. Campbell at St. Mary's Church in Middletown in 1965, enjoying 31 years of marriage before Frank's death in 1996. At different times throughout her life Ann enjoyed sewing, playing piano, singing in the college chorus, making holiday and prom clothing for her children, as well as homemade dolls, which she gave as gifts and donated for sale at St. Mary's church bazaar.
Ann devoted herself to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, participating in all their achievements no matter the distance of travel. Ann was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, card games, and binge worthy television series, especially Blue Bloods. After retirement Ann continued her love of teaching by volunteering to teach advanced mathematics at Mother Theresa School in Atlantic Highlands (NJ). She also enjoyed group travel to Ireland and Italy.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Irene & John Scanlon (NJ); her husband Frank, her brother John Scanlon (Kathy); and her grandson Matthew. Ann is survived by her siblings Mary Costic (Andy deceased)(PA), Bob (Cathy)(GA) and Ellen Vaughan (Pat) (MI/FL); her 4 children Anna (Rob), Irene, Frank (Jenn) and John (NJ); her 9 grandchildren Courtney (IA), Katie (Tom) (ME), Maggie (NJ), Robert (NJ), Keegan (Anna) (IN), Sam (WA), Christine (NJ), Kenneth (CO) and Meghan (NJ); her 2 great grandchildren Logan and Oliver (NJ/NV); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
