Ann Clouse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by VanInwegen-Kenny Inc Funeral Home - Monticello on Jan. 5, 2026.
Ann Clouse, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Garnet Heath Medical Center in Harris. She was 79.
She was the daughter of the late John Santora and Angelina Guidice, born September 23, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. She met her husband Edward in Middletown, New York in 1964, then married in 1965, and settled in Bloomingburg, NY. The couple were married 60 years and lived in Bloomingburg for their entire married life.
Ann was an active and devout member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg as well as a past member of Catholic Daughters of America. She was also an honorary member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bloomingburg Fire Department after having served over 40 years as an active member.
While Ann worked different jobs in her lifetime the only one that mattered to her and that she deemed to be important was her position as matriarch of her family. She took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother and poured her heart and soul into that position every day of her life.
The legacy of love she leaves behind begins with her husband-Edward G. Clouse. It continues with her three children and their spouses. Son-Edward J. Clouse (Lori), Daughters-Kelli J. Walsh (Thomas) and Ann Marie Minerly (Brian). That legacy continued with five grandchildren and one great grandson. Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 9th at 10:30am at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 High Street in Bloomingburg with Fr. Paul Richmond, O.Carm officiating. Burial Will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
