Ann was born August 8, 1942 in Council Bluffs, to the late James R. and Bernice R. (Radcliff) Cook. She graduated Thomas Jefferson High School in 1960, earned her teaching degree from UNL in 1964 and earned her Master's Degree from Creighton University in 1969. Ann was a teacher for the Omaha Public Schools from 1964-1997, teaching at Norris and Bancroft Junior Highs. She was a member of First Congregational Church.
Ann is survived by cousins, LoRee Broecker, of Oxford, Neb., Dorothy Batten, of Madison, Wis., and Merla Jean Eaton, of Salt Lake City, Utah; 2nd cousins and many dear friends.
Funeral service Saturday, 11 a.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with lunch following at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. Visitation with the family one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the Council Bluffs Library.

~I have always remembered Ms. Cook throughout my years. She was my of the best teachers at Bancroft Jr. High School. One of the most soft spoken and stern people one could ever meet.
May she rest in peace. My sympathy and prayers to her family.~

Ann Cook was a dear friend of mine from First Congregational Church. She helped so much with the Women's Fellowship. I enjoyed many a lunch with her. She was a dear friend and I will miss seeing her and speaking with her on the phone!!

Ann Cook was my 7th and 8th grade Core teacher at Bancroft Jr High..She was a good teacher..It has been many years ago, but I remember her face well. Thanks Ms. Cook..May you rest in peace! Toni (Gruhn) Milbourn
