Ann Wright Dillon, affectionately known as “Nonny,” passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Pittsford, New York, at the age of 93. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ann will be fondly remembered for her gracious spirit, sharp intelligence, quick wit, and the warmth that touched everyone who knew her.

Ann was deeply devoted to home and family. Born on March 4, 1932, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Ann was the daughter of James E and Ernestine (Chaney) Wright. She shared a loving marriage of 52 years with her husband, Peter L P Dillon, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. She was the proud mother of five children and stepchildren—Scott Dillon, Steve Dillon (Lisa), Julia Hayden (Craig), Susan Kelly (Mills), and Gail Davidson (Lee)—and the adored “Nonny” of ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Hunter Wright, and his wife, Sylvia, and niece and nephews.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she forged a distinguished career as a Certified Financial Planner, working with Lincoln Chase Bank and Sage Rutty Financial Services. Her careful guidance and professionalism helped countless clients and colleagues over the years.

Beyond her professional life, Ann was deeply devoted to helping others. She volunteered in the Family Court System, offering compassion and stability to those navigating challenging times. Her community leadership included active memberships in Christ Episcopal Church, the Junior League of Rochester, and the Chatterbox Club. She also lent her insight and integrity to several community boards, where her thoughtful counsel made a lasting impact.

Ann approached life with curiosity and joy. She was an avid reader and walker, a devoted wildflower and bird enthusiast, and an active member of her garden clubs. She delighted in a good game of bridge and treasured every opportunity to inspire and encourage her family. Her gracious presence and bright spirit will be profoundly missed. Ann Wright Dillon’s life remains an enduring example of kindness, intellect, and generosity—qualities she shared freely and with love throughout her ninety-three remarkable years.
