Ann M. Heiderscheit, 89, of Dyersville, Iowa passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at MercyOne Senior Care in Dyersville, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Visitation will continue Thursday morning from 9 - 10 a.m. at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home prior to funeral services.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, IA, with burial following at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Luxemburg, IA. Rev. Chris Podhajsky will officiate.
Ann was born on May 12, 1935, in Turkey River, IA, daughter of Joseph and Florence (Zach) Meyer. She married Robert Heiderscheit on June 1, 1957, in Immaculate Conception Church, Buena Vista, Iowa. Together they raised their family and farmed near Luxemburg.
Ann enjoyed her quilting group from Luxemburg and the Layettes of St. Francis Xavier Basilica. She gardened and canned produce while raising the family and into retirement. She crocheted and sewed several quilts Afghans for her family. She cherished her time spent with all of the grandchildren, teaching them how to cook, sew, and many other lessons.
Survivors include her children: Karen (Duane) Nieman of Earlville, Lois (friend Al Timmerman) Heiderscheit of Strawberry Point, Diane (Brian) Brown of Peosta, Donna (Ranger) Fenton of Dyersville, Mike Heiderscheit of Worthington, and Pat (Jill) Heiderscheit of Dyersville; a daughter-in-law, Karen Heiderscheit of Center Point, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Burr of Georgia; in-laws: Margaret Heiderscheit of Dubuque, and Lyle Wilkinson of Prairie Du Chein.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2021, sons, Ron Heiderscheit and Daniel Heiderscheit; daughter-in-law, Brenda Heiderscheit; grandson, Owen Lee Heiderscheit, parents; siblings: Gerald (Marcella) Meyer, Bob (Marjorie) Meyer, Helen Wilkinson; in-laws: Jan Burr, Ken Heiderscheit, Claudia Heiderscheit, and Bill Heiderscheit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
