Ann Kanous

Greece - Ann Kanous (Florence) passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Florence Whelehan; her husband, Roy Kanous (2015); and her grandson, Mason Kanous (2021). She is survived by her children, Jim (Sheila Beers) Kanous & Jerrie (Kenneth) Ruschak; her grandchildren, Amy (Tomasz) Religa, Michael (Irina) Ruschak, and Trevor (Lauren) Kanous; her great-grandchildren, Arielle & Anna Religa, Alexandria Ruschak, and Samantha & William Kanous; her sisters, Mary Ritz & Joyce Streicher; and her sister-in-law, Eleanor Kanous. Ann was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Whelehan.
Ann, as everyone knew her, was a life-long resident of Hilton/Greece. She was retired from her job at the Parma Town Hall, where she was Secretary to the Assessor. She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church for many years. In her leisure, she enjoyed reading.
Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 4 - 7 PM at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue in Hilton. Ann's Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Church, 110 Hojack Lane in Hilton on Wednesday, August 9th at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Parma Union Cemetery.
