Ann Lajoie Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Collins Funeral Home - Norwalk on Dec. 8, 2025.
Ann Marie Lajoie, 85, of Norwalk, CT, passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 8, 2025. Ann was born on July 20, 1940, in Sanford, ME, to Albert and Irene Lessard. She grew up in Springvale, ME, until moving to Norwalk when she was 18 years old. Here, she met her husband, Roger Lajoie; they married in 1960.

She devoted her life to her family and created a home filled with love, comfort, and happiness. She had a kind heart and protective nature. She possessed a thoughtfulness that reached far beyond her family, touching everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved to laugh, sing and dance. She spent many happy hours playing cards with friends and family. She and her beloved husband, Roger, cherished a large and close-knit community of friends with whom they shared countless years of unforgettable memories. She loved birds, the color blue, and anything with hearts. Over the years she lovingly cared for all nine of her grandchildren, watching over them while their parents worked. Additionally, she dedicated her time and energy to assisting with the family business, Lajoie's Auto Parts, balancing both roles with unwavering devotion and grace.

Some of her favorite moments were vacationing in Wells Beach, Maine and watching their favorite sports teams play: the Rangers, the Chiefs and NASCAR races. She felt blessed to become a Great Memere to her six great-grandchildren and watch her family grow. She worked hard to bring happiness to the people in her life, and had a gift for making every holiday feel special.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Lajoie, their three children, Renée and her husband, James Stamatis, Russell and his partner, Jody, and Mark and his wife, Tracey. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Kelsey and Tom Casazza, Nicole and Brian Andronaco, Sean Lajoie, Jessica and Jacob Weaver, Chad Lajoie and fiancé Jessie, Zackary and Briana Lajoie, Ryan Lajoie and her partner, Tatyanna, Aiden Lajoie, and Travis Lajoie. She leaves behind six great grandchildren, Corey and Blake Andronaco, Cole and Caden Weaver, Colton Casazza and Georgia Lajoie, as well as her brother, Norman Lessard, and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her brother, Louis Lessard.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Collins Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Church. Interment will be immediately following the Funeral Mass at St. John Cemetery.

Ann will be remembered for her faith, kindness, her love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
