Ann A. Luchies, age 94 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday evening, June 27, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1931 in Fremont, Michigan to Albert & Margaret (Oosterhouse) Tubbergen, Jr. Ann worked on the dairy farm along with her husband Max, and she had been a school bus driver for Fremont Public Schools for 23 years from 1970 until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, and she had been a volunteer in the gift shop at Gerber Hospital. Ann enjoyed camping, bingo, doing puzzles, and most of all spending time with her family. On January 10, 1951 she married Max H. Luchies and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann Grabill; twin brother Ed Tubbergen, and by her brother Stan Tubbergen. She is survived by 5 children: Lavonda Smith, Keven (Judy) Luchies, Gael (Jan) Luchies, Craig (Sharon) Luchies, Jeff (Terri) Luchies; 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Clare (Elaine) Tubbergen; and by her sisters-in-law, Shirley Tubbergen & Phyllis Tubbergen. There will be a luncheon and time to visit with the family from 12-2 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the Fremont Christian School Endowment Fund.
